- VIZhyal 0.4% is a sterile, ophthalmic soothing and moisturising solution, with physiological pH. It is based on Sodium hyaluronate, a natural substance that can be found in your eyes, so these eye drops are a gentle, natural way to relieve the symptoms of moderate dry eyes such as burning, itching, and grittiness (foreign body sensation). Cross-linked Sodium hyaluronate gives more prolonged lubrication than standard sodium hyaluronate.
- The drops also act as a humectant and lubricant, providing relief of dry eye conditions, including those associated with the use of PCs, infrequent blinking, certain medical treatments, atmospheric pollution, dry atmospheres (e.g. air conditioning, wind and sun) and ophthalmic stress caused the wearing of contact lenses.
- Sodium hyaluronate cross-linked resists to hyaluronidase degradation much longer than native hyaluronic acid, which means the eye drops stay on the surface of the eye longer than regular eyedrops with hyaluronic acid and do not need re-applying frequently. They are ideal for those who need long-lasting hydration and lubrication.
- Hyaluronic acid is able to stabilise the pre-corneal tear film, without impairing your vision, and create a protective film, which minimises friction between the eyelid and the surface of the eye, lessening irritation and discomfort.
