Cardfight!! Vanguard, Volume 1 (No playing Cards) Paperback – April 29, 2014

Finally purchased the first volume! I just finished it and I enjoyed it. The storyline and art is slightly different look from the anime but overall very similar. I prefer to read the manga most of the time so I'm happy to have this. The last few pages of the book contains a lot of info on how to play Vanguard and tips and stuff like that so if you are a beginner or, like me, haven't played in a long time, it's a good bit of info to have. (Side note: The book is paperback not hardcover. I don't think the description said it was hardcover but it seems that there's some confusion about that so I just thought I'd mention it.)It comes with a Blaster Blade card attached on the inside of the back cover. Be careful peeling it off. It's attached with that rubbery-sticky stuff so it comes off pretty easily, just be slow or you might warp the back cover or tear the paper inside off a bit. It does leave a little spot where the sticky stuff was but it's nothing too bad. (I know some of us are picky about our books and like to have them in the best condition possible so I just thought I'd mention it's pretty minor and nothing that ruins the look of the book.)There is a box wrapped up with the book that contains the flash decks and rule sheets. Even though mine was new, the box was warped and kind of beat up at one side. I guess because the shrink-wrap was a bit too tight there. (The book was fine though; maybe a little wear to the top of the spine but nothing really noticeable.) The box doesn't matter to me though; the important thing is nothing inside the box was messed up or bent.I got this for around $6 so I think it was a really great deal! Definitely recommend it to Cardfight Vanguard fans or anyone who is interested in the game.

Cardfight Vanguard is a TCG (trading card game) like no other, and I've lived a while so I have played several different kinds.I was excited after reading this book because it is not exactly like the anime. I didn't see a rating on the book, so I would say it around teen age, for mild violence and slight mild language.Within this book you get a Blaster Blade Royal Paladin, and if you order this one (special edition) you also get fifty cards, two paper place mats and two set of rules. It's for quick battles, you get 25 royal paladin and 25 kagero.Royal Paladin cards are: stardust trumpeter, weapons dealer govannon, bringer of luck epona, starlight unicorn, little sage marron, knight of silence gallatin, knight of the harp tristen, stardrive dragonKagero cards are: lizard runner undeux, embodiment of spear tahr, dragon dancer monica, embodiment of armor bahr, wyvern strike jarren, wyvern strike tajas, dragon knight nehalem, crested dragonThe story itself teaches you the game if you don't already know how to play. Also there are a set of rules, frequently asked question and answers, and descriptions of card abilities in the back of the book (so you still get rules-and blaster blade- even if you don't get the special edition). There is also a little quiz in the back to help determine what your clan could be.

I love cardfight vanguard and when I found out that the comic is coming out with the flash deck. I just had to get it.

I ordered the Special Edition so I could get the Flash Deck( I thought it was going to something other than the one English already has) and the Blaster Blade alt art promo and a Hardback copy of the Manga! Turns out its not a hard back copy and you get the Alt Art Promo reguardless of which version you get!

It's great, I recommend both for those who have not seen the anime or if, and for those who play the game or not

It was even better than the anime and has helpped several friends understand the game of vanguard

I enjoyed the alternate story from the anime but did not receive a shrink wrapped version with the pr blaster blade like expected.

We got everything except the book.

Sie ist auf 4500 Exemplar limitiert.Der Manga ist ein Taschenbuch wie die Standardedition.Aber dabei ist noch eine Promokarte von Blaster Blade mit einem alternativen Artwork und zwei Decks mit jeweils 25 Karten. Auch noch enthalten sind ein Expert Rulesheet, zwei Flash Fight Rulesheets passend zu den enthaltenen Karten und zwei Spielmatten. Das alles ist in einer kleinen Pappschachtel mit dem Vanguard-Logo untergebracht, die mit den Manga zusammen eingeschweißt ist.Für den Preis ist das Gesamtpaket einfach unschlagbar. Also zugreifen, solange es noch erhältlich ist.Der Manga selbst ist toll gezeichnet und spannend zu lesen. Man kann also echt nichts falsch machen.
