Ironmaster Leg Extension Curl Attachment

so I've been using this product for a few weeks now I guess there's not too many exciting things you can say about a leg curl attachment but this is a pretty good one , The leg bar itself is made from one piece of tubing that is bent instead of two pieces of tubing welded together which anyone that has used a piece of equipment like this knows that is the weak point , I like the ease of being able to change it simply by pulling the pin out on the ironmaster bench, I have not tried to max the weight out on it yet so I cannot attest to the companies claims, another thing I really do like is the fact that The foam pads designed for your legs are actually held on with Allen bolts so they won't keep sliding off on you when you tried to get on and off the bench and use the leg attachment, I would have to say so far I have been impressed with the Quality of this companies equipment especially for the price

I purchased one of the benches and the leg attachment a half dozen years ago. About a year back I had trouble with the bar that holds the weights on the leg attachment. It bent to the point that the weights would not stay on. I hadn't put more than 100 pounds on it, which is well be below the 200 lb rating, but figured that it had lasted for about five years, so I didn't think much of it. I ordered another one about nine months ago, and after a few months I started to see the same problem of the bar bending. It finally got to the point that it was unusable, so I contacted IronMaster. They asked me to send a photo, and later that day they told me that I would receive a replacement. No hassle whatsoever.

This is a good addition to the Ironmaster super-bench that will hopefully include a few adjustments in the future. The assembly is easy, taking only a few minutes or so. The motion of both the extension and leg curl is smooth. A nice feature is that there are different placements for the pads for the taller or shorter person. Unfortunately, for the taller person, your feet may touch the floor on the extensions--mine do, so I have to remove my shoes to even use this add-on.Pros:*sturdy feel*Olympic weight option*easy to attach and detach*smooth extensionCons:*not enough clearance. I'm 6'1 and if I'm wearing shoes I can't use the extension as my feet hit the ground on each pass.*another clearance issue is adding 45lb Olympic weights. You at least need a few spacer weights so that larger plates don't bump against the frame.

I have been using this now for a couple months. It is very sturdy. One thing I really like about it is that it has a "foot" that helps keep the bench from tipping forward when the plates are on. My old bench and attachment would tip up when I had more than 2 plates on it. This one is rock solid with 3+ plates. Also, it is the perfect distance for hamstring curls for me. I'm 6'1" and leg extensions and hamstring curls are really nice to do with this.

This attachment is basically the reason I opted for the ironmaster bench vs. similar benches. Very satisfied. It has an attachment to accommodate Olympic weights or you can use standard. Pads are good quality and the movement is smooth. There is slight play in mechanism, bit you really don't notice unless you're doing a "kicking the tires" type check on it, then you realize you paid $120 for a leg curl attachment, not $3000 for a leg curl machine and suddenly you're satisfied with your purchase. Highly recommended.

I have NOTHING bad to say about this product. It’s easy all the way around. Slides into place easy and comes out just as easy. Not heavy at all and small enough to put up against the wall when I’m not using it, in my small home gym.

It does what it's supposed to. The Olympic sleeve looks metal in the current picture here on amazon, but it is plastic with the one I received. The sleeve has a metal, threaded piece for the set screw which holds the sleeve place on the standard-plate-diameter bar, but I stripped the threads easily. The sleeve doesn't stay in place when I remove plates, which is a bit of an annoyance. Without the sleeve, Olympic plates rattle around.I don't have any issue with range of motion or the size of the attachment. I'm 175cm (5'9") tall.

the fact that the IronMaster Bench has versatility is a win win no brain-er.
