Poynting A-XPOL-0002-V2 LTE/UMTS Directional Antenna, Pantone Cool Grey 1C RAL 7047, 255 x 250 x 80 mm, ABS, Halogen-Free

I have tried 4 different 4G aerials to improve the signal strength and download speeds on our remote farm. I am using a Huawei B315 4G router that supports two external aerial feeds ( http://amzn.eu/hAMamYL ). With no external aerial I could get about 5MB download (we get 4MB on our phone line). This aerial is far superior to the other 3 and I am now getting 34MB download and 2.5MB upload. The others were in order of experiment:-1. A Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0001 Cross Polarised 4G Omni LTE Antenna - http://amzn.eu/1ysjyuc - no better than the B315 internal aerial2. A small single cable External Log Periodic yagi antenna (about 20 cm long) - http://amzn.eu/8ZJO7mk - this improved the download to around 20MBs and I was going to stick with this one but download speeds were not consistent. It would drop back to 5MBs from time to time3. A dual Yagi (big 1m long aerials) http://amzn.eu/9npipFm pointed directly towards the 4G mast . This was worse than the B315 using just its internal aerial

Does what it says on the tin. Although this is a directional antenna, we didn't see much of a difference no matter what direction we put the antenna in. Went from zero to three bars, although I think that might simply be due to us being able to bypass the thick walls of an old house. After installing w did get very high 4g speeds, and I directly connected the provided 5m wire to a TP-Link 300MBps 4g LTE Sim Slot Wifi modem and it all worked out of the box. The clamps provided in the box were used, and we strapped this to a steel pole attached to the outer wall.We could have done with a couple more meters of wire for flexibility but not a huge deal, As far as I know this should also work with 5G when it comes out.

The cable supplied is not long enough, can’t say if it has improved as can’t set it up until the cable extenders arrive should have the option to get a longer cable with it.

In our village i am the only house to get a 4g connection, brought for a neighbour at the other end of the village as they could only get 1 bar of 3g, with this installed on the roof pointing roughly in the direction of the cell tower we get a constant 2 bars of 4g on an Huawei B593.

Antes no tenia antena externa. Ahora con esta antena fuera a unos 4m mas de altura que el router ya me da hasta 30mb/s. Sin antena exterior llegaban 1 a 3 mb/s.

Was skeptical that it would improve my speeds much, but so glad I took the chance. Well worth the investment!

Antenna professionale in cui viene dichiarato il guadagno VERO (non come le inserzioni di antennine da 25-35dB, che sono falsissime).Attenzione però che il guadagno dichiarato è SEMPRE della sola antenna senza cavi... ed i cavi hanno una perdita non indifferente. Questo è ben segnalato nel datasheet, ma spesso non notato.Nel mio caso, per recuperare un po' di guadagno, ho accorciato i cablaggi originali (5mt).

L’objectif était d’amplifier un signal 4G LTE trop faible pour utiliser un router 4G+ (Huawei b525s-23a) à l’intérieur. Ceci pour une maison de vacances sans téléphone ou adsl et loin de la première antenne relais. Le router seul à l’intérieur captait entre 0 et 1 cran avec un débit instable e inférieur à qq Mbps. Avec l’antenne sur le toit, je suis passé à 4 crans stables et 90/40 Mbps en down/up. Antenne robuste, bonne imperméabilisation, cables coaxiaux jumeaux de 5m avec connecteurs sma mâles. L’antenne est passive, seuls les cables du signal à connecter au router 4G. Utilisé pendant qq semaines sans problèmes.L’orientation doit être faite soigneusement (antenne fortement directionnelle) avant de fixer l’antenne (angle actif de +-30 degrés en horizontal et vertical (donc cône de 60 degrés). Ceci se fait en la bougeant et regardant les crans sur le router.

Was war mein Problem?Ca 3km Entfernung zur 4G-Zelle - Pegelt ausreichend ABER - keine direkte Sicht - es ist eine Geländekuppe dazwischen. Mehrere Antennen probiert - insbesondere Richtantennen. Das hat den Pegel zwar erhöht aber das Problem der zeitweisen Abrisse der Verbindung nicht gelöst.Das eigentliche Problem waren Beugungen und Reflexiionen über die Geländekuppe die von der Witterung abhängig waren. Mit dem Einsatz einer MIMO-Antenne - hier recht sauber und solide in einem Gehäuse verpackt war das Problem behoben.Ein kleiner Tip noch: Das mitgelieferte Kabel von 5m ist leider ein Dämpfungsglied. Ich habe das Kabel gegen ein deutlich verlustärmeres halbstarres und kürzeres Koaxkabel getauscht. Dazu muss man die Antenne öffnen und löten. Das neue Kabel ist nur 50cm lang der LTE-Router direkt und wettergeschützt hinter der Antenne montiert. Das brachte nochmals gut 10dBm. Damit erlischt jedoch die Garantie.Diese Antenne wird mit 2x SMA-Steckern an einem Router von TELTONIKA, dem RUT955 LTE, betrieben. Ein Vergleich mit anderen LTE-Router zeigte, dass das Ergebnis wesentlich von der Qualität des LTE-Modems anhängt.
