Sportline HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle

At first, I was in love with this bottle. It tracked my usage and by checking it when I drank, I found myself drinking more water. So far, it was perfect. Then I found that my water was developing an off taste. I had washed the bottle, run water through the system, etc. What I found was that the small flow valve was developing mold. There was really no way to clean it off totally. I did try using vinegar and water, etc., through it. That really wasn't enough. I wanted to see the mold completely gone and there was no way to do it without taking it all apart. In addition, I found I needed to turn it off and on between drinking so that I didn't wear the battery out in about 2 days. There were also some problems where I needed to reset the system. All in all, it's a good concept, but it's not ready for the bulk of people to use. Bottom line - too hard for most people to use, not easy enough to really clean it. I'm giving it two stars for the concept and the price (otherwise, this would have been 1 star).

I think my wife is from a planet of lizard people, and she doesn't believe in drinking water.I bought this in the hopes it would encourage her to drink water.I guess the saying is true, "You can buy a lizard person a fancy electronic bottle, but you can't make them drink".Other than that it is a neat bottle.

doesn't work. I've tried every way I can to hold my teeth right to get the water to flow through the straw and register on the monitor. IT DOESN"T REGISTER THE WATER THAT I AM DRINKING. Their "excuse" (if you will) is that you have to use the straw properly in order for it to register. Well it is too ridiculous to every try. If I could I would return it but I threw the shipping material away. IT'S CRAP. Even if it does register some (and you add the extra amount on your own records) the "reset" button requires you to constantly be sure that it has been set and reset, set and reset. It doesn't automatically reset on its on at 24 hours (like it said). DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I don't know why so many people are complaining about this product- this is my third bottle, I buy a new one every few years. I love this thing- unless you are 105 years old, you shouldn't have any problems "sucking water through a straw". It is super accurate- and I've NEVER had a problem with it resetting. Maybe because I make sure not to get the battery compartment wet in any way..... I'm a personal trainer and have had a few people buy them after seeing mine, and no complaints that I know of. The price has gone down over the years- and at $20 it is a steal. Feel free to ask any questions and I would be happy to answer them!!!

Really loved this bottle for the year and a half or so that it worked. I'm a busy professional and the medications I take make me constantly thirsty so I was finding I was drinking too much water. Bought this bottle, problem solved. I had a goal line and instead of blindly drinking water every day I was able to monitor my intake and regulate it. But after a year and a half of daily, constant use, the screen flipped to SEL and, being busy, I assumed it needed a new battery, set it aside to get a new battery, and promptly forgot about it. Fast forward six months later and I find the battery ISN'T dead, but the computer has quit working. I can try to reprogram for the water volume I need, but any button pressed has a random chance to reset the entire bottle. Even declining to program anything (oz, weight, goal, date, time) doesn't help because just starting or stopping the calculator could cause the entire thing to reset again.tl;dr: loved it while it worked, will consider replacing since the little internal cacluator/computer is not 100% reliable.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas this year, and he loved the idea of it. Unfotunately the computer screen in front was broken, so he called to get a replacement. He had to call the company multiple times to even get through and then the first time the screen never came in the mail. He called again (after waiting 8 weeks) and they sent another one which arrived in about 2 weeks. Then the turbine that measures water intake stopped to where he couldn't get water out of the bottle. That took another month to get a replacement part. The screen/computer broke again a few months ago and he called AGAIN to get a replacement but it has not come either, so finally I think my husband has just given up. Its a great idea though, unfortunately the quality of the product sucks and the company is difficult to get a hold of and doesn't have great follow through. Its also difficult (even when working) to suck the water out of the bottle due to the turbine mechanism.

This is an amazing product. It works just as described. Once you set up the display once, you just have to remember to hit the reset button so the 24 hour clock starts again and remember to hit the start button. It took a couple of days to remember to hit the start button and didn't realize it until I refilled the container and the count was still at zero. I have not had any technical issues like the other reviews have stated. This has definitely helped me increase my water intake each day. The only con is I wish the bottle was a little larger as I find myself refilling pretty frequently. Great product and definitely recommend.

Simply not reliable. I resisted for months buying this product. Got a little bit of extra cash and splurged. Thinking this would be a good investment---NOT! It is inaccurate and the calculation are no longer registering after just a few days of use. Not happy at all with this purchase.**UPDATE THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE! STILL CAN"T BELIEVE HOW USELESS IT IS!

Good but gets a bit smelly. I clean it with Milton periodically.
