The size specified was spot on and fit perfectly onto my antique trundle. I'm happy with the quality and sturdy support. My old frame used to make a lot of noise. This frame makes no noise. Only downside, it's so sturdy that the mattress on top feels more stiff.

I found this product when I needed to replace missing side rails for an old bunk bed set and found that bunk bed rails are surprisingly hard to obtain. Since this daybed platform includes slats, I didn't have to bother getting separate "bunkie boards" or other foundation solutions. As of this writing, I have received one of the two platforms I ordered, and am fairly impressed. The split construction allows very compact packaging, and the assembly scheme with C plates and round bars to connect the halves seems reasonably strong.I noticed someone said the end plates are six inches. Not sure if that person was measuring the OAL (overall length) or a different product, but on ours the end plate bolt holes are four inches on center. As it happens, my old bunk bed head- and foot-boards use four inch bolt centers, so for us this is perfect.Something I hadn't read before purchasing is that the end plates bolt onto the rails with slotted bolt holes, and so the overall length of the rails are adjustable. This won't help me since I'm using them on a bunk bed and ordered two identical platforms, but it could help if ordering only one platform for a bunk bed (which I considered doing) or if one daybed frame is a slightly different length than another. On the downside, the bolt-on end plates could create a slight issue with sagging. One possible upgrade for the manufacturer might be to install spacers inside the rectangular tubing to increase the potential clamping load for the bolts. Another possible upgrade would be to weld nuts inside the tube so the bolts need only clamp one side of the tubing. A third possible upgrade, which would have to be done by the end user, might be to weld the end plates to the rails once the bed's overall length is set. If you don't weld yourself, a welding shop in our area will help with small projects starting at $25.And no, the kit did not include hardware to attach the platform to your headboards! I'm sure this is intentional, as there is no telling what length or style of bolt is required for your furniture, and it is probably assumed you will reuse the hardware that came with the furniture when new. My bunk bed set originally used 1/4" x 4.5" carriage bolts, most of which have gone missing, and I got replacement bolts, nuts, and washers from my local hardware store for under $15.I did see the review and picture complaining of a collapsed rail after someone sat on the bed. I did sit and lie on our assembled bed myself (I weigh about 220 pounds) and noticed no ill effects. Since the bunk bed will be used by my sons who currently weigh 35 and 80 pounds, I'm not expecting any problems. Perhaps a redundant mattress foundation, or just a piece of 3/4" plywood, may be in order for heavier users?

It did not come with instructions but it was easy to assemble when I looked at the picture. Very sturdy, my daughter jumped on her bed and it didn't move or squeak

Bought this to replace a spring style daybed deck that had broken. I’ve now had this new deck for over a month. It went together easily (pay attention to the arrows on the end to show which side is up!), does not squeak and fit my daybed frame perfectly. I am very pleased!!!

I have nice daybed furniture set I have had for years but the springboard deck was busted as the metal attachments to the wood had broken off over time. I wasn't sure about this deck when I ordered it as it has no springs, and I wasn't sure if it would fit right (I was also concerned that I might be able to feel the bars through the mattress). It was a little frustrating to assemble, but it fit perfectly, has been very sturdy so far, and despite some of the claims I have seen here, does not squeak (and I cannot feel the bars through my mattress). Considering that I would have had to throw my entire daybed out if I hadn't ordered this, I consider it a pretty good deal.

It’s a replacement frame from an original daybed frame. Initially, the bed didn’t squeak but after continual use it squeaks all the time. It was easy to put together and were the exact measurements as a replacement. Unfortunately, the squeaking is why I would not purchase this again.
